A new technology has been introduced at Nebojsa Batkoski’s dental center – plasma activation of dental implants, making Macedonia the first country to apply this modern method in dentistry.
The new technique is used when placing implants in order to improve their integration with the bone and speed up the healing process in patients. Treating the implants with plasma activates their surface, which allows for a better biological reaction of the body and faster acceptance of the implant.
Plasma activation is part of modern technologies applied in implantology. Scientific research shows that such treatments can improve the chemical structure and energy of the surface of titanium implants, which improves cell adhesion and accelerates the process of creating new bone around the implant.
In practice, this means:
faster stabilization of the implant
, better osseointegration (fusion with the bone),
reduced risk of complications,
and a shorter recovery period for patients.
The Dental Center “Dr. Batkoski” in Ohrid has been introducing modern dental technologies and treatments for a long time. The center works with world-class materials and implant systems, where dental implants are titanium structures that replace the function of the tooth root and enable stable and long-lasting tooth reconstruction.
With the introduction of plasma activation, the center further expands the application of modern methods in implantology, in order for patients to experience faster recovery, better implant stability, and more successful treatment results.
This innovation represents another step towards the modernization of dental services in Macedonia and bringing domestic dentistry closer to the most modern world standards.
