Ohrid is known for its Macedonian pearl, but since the beginning of the year this Macedonian city has found itself on the world map of implantology, the most fascinating dental branch for pearly smiles. This city will become the center of modern dentistry, as the dental center “Dr. Batkoski” launches the first implant training center for “Ditron Dental” in Europe.
On this occasion, we talk to specialist Dr. Nebojša Batkoski , who is the owner and manager of the renowned dental center “Dr. Batkoski”, who also founded the first implant training center in Europe licensed by the Israeli company “Ditron Dental”. The cooperation with “Ditron Dental” began as the main representative of their products, namely implants.
As a result of his hard work, a five-day, intensive international educational event is being announced in Ohrid this February (February 17–21), with a program divided into four modules and live case studies focusing on digital technologies and precise surgical protocols. The center’s expert team will also participate in the training.
You are the first implant training center licensed by Ditron Dental in Europe for doctors from Vietnam and Israel. What does that mean in practice?
– This is confirmation that the center is gaining an international role and that the training is not only focused locally. Through a structured approach, doctors will gain knowledge that is in line with world standards and with real clinical application. The goal is for dentists to understand and learn methods that they will immediately use in practice, especially in complex cases. For us, this is a responsibility to create continuous education at a high level, at home. And to show that top dentistry can be built outside of large centers.
What is the concept of the planned training and who is it intended for?
– The cycle is five-day and intensive, conceived as an international educational event.
The program is in four modules: surgical basics, surgical procedures, prosthetic module and “Live Surgery”. It has a special focus on digital technologies and precise surgical protocols. It is intended for dentists who want to improve their skills in implantology and gain confidence in the processes. Upon completion, participants receive an official certificate for the acquired knowledge and skills. In this first phase, which will be held from February 17-21, doctors from Vietnam and Israel will be present at the training, and in the future we expect dentists from all over the world who want to improve their skills in this dental branch.
The center is the first in Europe and you are the main brand ambassador. How did this partnership come about?
– The partnership is the result of long-term commitment, quality, protocols and continuous learning. “Ditron Dental” requires standards and consistency, and that is the direction in which we have been working for years. We have been cooperating with the company for several years, step by step through the use of implants when working on cases and other original components. The fact that we are the main representative and the first and only training center of “Ditron Dental” brings additional responsibility and trust. Therefore, the goal is to bring innovations home, to present Macedonia as an excellent dental center, but also to transfer skills and knowledge correctly and professionally.
What are the next steps, is this the beginning of a larger education platform in Ohrid?
– Yes, this is the start of something bigger. In the next phases, we plan to include doctors from other countries, with an expanded educational agenda. Part of the plans is also the opening of a new center, to support development and capacity. Our vision is clear: modern methods, practical applicability and long-lasting, healthy smiles. The Dental Center “Dr. Batkoski” is certainly already becoming a regional and recognizable brand for its services and quality.
